You can also call the planning department of your local authority to make enquiries.

    Finding an architect or local planning agent that you like and trust is important. At Grant Builders, we work hard to forge links with various planning agents, structural engineers and surveyors to create great working relationships. Please contact us if you need a recommendation when appointing a planning agent, structural engineer and surveyor.

  • You can contact us by telephone or email. If you have lots of information to send, feel free to email it and we will get back to you. If you wish to chat over the phone, we are always available to discuss your project.

  • We currently employ 5 experienced and qualified tradesmen and have a supporting team of subcontracted tradesmen who work regularly for the company. Our electrician is registered with the NICEIC and our plumber is CORGI registered. All of our workers are covered by our comprehensive public liability and employer liability insurance cover.

  • All of our quotes include a description of the works to be completed with our price inclusive of VAT. We try to create quotes that are as comprehensive as possible but if you do need any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • We usually provide a 12 month guarantee although this can vary. Please contact us for more details.

  • Once we have confirmation that you wish to proceed and have received your deposit, the quote and payment plan will form the contract between us and you, the client.

  • Renovating yourself can be extremely satisfying and worthwhile, however there are also certain risks associated. We would love to advise and consult you on all aspects of the project, while offering ourselves for any of the tasks/phases that might be beyond your skills.

  • If you’re considering a construction project our advice is to get in contact with us as early as possible during the design phase. Our combined experience alongside an architect or designer leads to well-designed and complete projects, that come in under budget and on time. Asking us for advice early on is cost-free – our main concern is starting a project the right way to control all the variables and manage risk. This entails numerous benefits for your project.

  • Yes. The vast majority of our jobs include us sourcing all materials, handling all personnel and ensuring the project is completed to the highest standard. This is included in our service. Our experience has shown that customers who attempt to project manage multiple tradesman and sourcing materials themselves more often than not turns into a false economy with no savings and increased overall costs. You will have a much better experience contracting a company to complete your project from start to finish.

  • Yes. We do with this most prospective customers. During the time frame of a project being completed, we build excellent relationships with our customers. They are usually delighted to show you the projects/work we have completed for them.

  • Payment is absolutely not required upfront. All respectable building companies will not require the full balance upfront. A detailed contract will be drawn up which will state set milestones customised to your project/works when interim payments will be required. The final payment will be required only once all works are completed.

  • This is usually six months. If you require a longer price guarantee, please speak to us.
